Recently I’ve been writing with upbeat music in the background. Silly stuff, really. Like Girls Aloud or Kylie Minogue. Music has a way of enhancing your emotions, and I try to harness the happy ones so my writing can be cheerful. Today, though, I’m having a bad day. I don’t want to listen to happy music. But while I was on twitter I came across the name “Sarah June Parker” and when I see cool things I tend to go crazy with the googlin’. I found a page with quotes by her, and there’s one I like that’s pretty cheesy. It doesn’t live up to the image of this person I had in my head, but I like it anyway. “May I never miss a sunset or a rainbow because I am looking down.”
So, the music I’m listening to right now is by Patty Griffi ... Read More
Just what are those Gossip Girls wearing these days as the Gossip Girl season finale approaches? Blair opts for yellow Christian Louboutin heels paired with a green cape from Barney’s Co-Op. Jewelry by MCL will appear on both Blair on Serena, and leggings by Hue are popular with Georgina. And speaking of Georgina, she’ll be wearing a large Swarvorski ring, Coach earrings, Jones NY brown fur coat (faux I hope!), and bags by Chanel and Valentino. There’s only one look that I’m really feeling – and it’s another Blair Waldorf outfit…
I love how Blair pairs a hot pink pencil skirt with a more conservative white spring blouse. It ... Read More
On Glee, Rachel Berry has a very distinct style. From doing other Glee/Rachel posts my eyes feel trained to spot items Rachel would wear. So, I’ve made a post of a bunch of different clothing and accessories I would not be surprised to find in Berry’s closet. (Should anyone be so lucky to ever snoop there, take pictures!)

Did you fall in luuurve with Rachel Berry’s bow shirt that she wore on Glee in the episode “Hell-O”? The actual shirt was the Radcliffe yard joanie sweater by Kate Spade – described as a, “playful puff sleeve confection in superfine merino wool is knit with an eye-catching bow pattern. Features rib detailing at the neck, sleeves and hem”. The price for the top was $78.00. Sadly, it’s no longer available. But the price was kind of steep, so that’s okay. On this blog we like to keep every item reasonably under $100 (unless it’s a big item like a computer or a couch or a pet zebra). I’ve searched around and found nine bow tops that ARE in stock, and are also really cute. A note for the US visitors – the UK sites I’ve listed DO ship to the USA (I know most of you guys live in the States). I also believe most of the US states ship to Europe, as well. So, there is very little in-between you and your new, favorite top. Huzzah! I hate roadblocks. And I love this style of top. If you’re wondering, my favorite top from below is the gray tank with the glittery bow.
