Doing Halloween in STYLE last week, I received the Chocolate Gift Basket Classic in Sweet Decadence from Gourmet Gift Baskets. Best. Halloween. Ever.

The stand-outs for me were:

The Chocolate Cherries, Lake Champlain all natural Dark Chocolate and the Joseph Lottie Butter Almond Toffee. The chocolate cherries were not too bitter or like the ones you see in the typical chocolate boxes. These were chewy, and very addictive. I was already familiar with the Lake Champlain brand of all natural chocolates. Even though I’m not a huge fan of dark chocolate, I even liked the dark chocolate from them. Their chocolate is just outstanding, I highly recommend it to anyone and was so glad to see their company is represented here. Finally, the Butter Almond Toffee treats were a huge surprise to me because I thought I wouldn’t like them. Turns out, I DID. What’s more, you get three packs of two each, and they’re all sealed so you can eat two at a time for maximum freshness.

It was all chocaholic time the night I received this. Gift baskets are great when you want to really make an impression, or aren’t certain of what to get someone. Gourmet Gift Baskets come in great, sturdy baskets that I know I’ll be keeping to hold papers or DVDs. They also came with pretty ribbon that I am up-cycling and using for Christmas. The chocolate in this basket is a great mix of milk chocolates and dark chocolates, even with some white chocolate. My favorite items were the chocolate covered cherries and the chocolate covered pretzels. …Apparently I like things that are covered in chocolate! Haha. Unavoidably, there was a couple things I didn’t love as much (I’m not a fan of almonds) so that told me exactly which items I could share with others. Hehe!

If you have to mail your Christmas presents anyway, I especially think gift baskets are a great idea since you’re paying for shipping anyway. Plus, it’s so hard for you to create such a pretty package without all the same expert packaging tools. If you want to have gourmet gifts delivered, I would highly recommend Gourmet Gift Baskets.
