Win! VitaTops and VitaBrownies Reviews
I love Vitas! I have been converted into a believer! But let’s go back a bit so you know what I’m talking about, mmmkay? I adore muffins. But who knew that there was a luxe version of a muffin that could actually fit with my needs for low calorie, tasty food that was healthy? VitaTops by the brand Vitalicious are 100 calorie muffin tops with vitamins, minerals and fiber.
Given the chance to sample several flavors of Vitatops, I must declare that these are indeed tasty. I’ve looked around and the Vitalicous reviews everywhere seem to agree with my personal assessment! Ditto on Vitatops reviews.
Because these are not made with any nasty artificial flavors, these do have to be refrigerated. Is this a problem? Not really, no. When you get these, eat one right away (that’s my suggestions – I did!) and then put the rest in the freezer. You can then thaw them for 30 minutes before you eat one, microwave it (18 seconds, without wrap) or toast them. Frozen, these will last for nine months which means you really can buy in bulk. And there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing your fridge stocked with healthy snacks.
I’m not patient, so I liked microwaving these. The 18 seconds, in my microwave, turned into 20 seconds. I think it’s important that your microwave have that spinny table (most probably do) so it gets the same nice warmth all the way around.
My favorite, by far, is the Chocolate Mint VitaTop. It’s so moist, it really felt like a satisfying treat to have. And with it being almost Winter, haing warm little muffin treats is awesome! Other favorites included Fudgy Peanut Butter Chip, and Banana Nut. The only flavor I thought I’d like but ended up not loving was the newer Apple Crumb. I didn’t hate it, it just wasn’t as sweet as I expected. What can I say, I have a sweet tooth. But seriously, I’m in love with these. I never thought just one would fill me up, but they seriously do. And if I’m still hungry, I just eat a piece of fruit and then breakfast has been taken care of! At night, the chocolate versions are perfect with a big glass of gold milk. I really can’t talk more highly about VitaTops – they’re fantastic. I even think the price is fair. You can get a pack of 12 tops for $18.50.
The one suggestion I’d have for the company is to let people pick their own 12 or 24 packs, rather than making them all the same flavor or only bran or chocolate flavors. That’s because I really want a combination! But for me, I know that I don’t like blueberry anything so the Blue Bran VitaTop wasn’t for me.
About VitaTops:
* 100 calories
* 4 grams of protein
* Portable snack, eaten with one hand.
* Low-fat
* No artificial additives or preservatives
* 4-7 grams of fiber
* No trans-fat
* No Cholesterol
* 15 Vitamins and minerals
* Lots of flavors, from a cornbread like Golden Corn to Banana Fudge.
I also sampled the VitaBrownies. While so many 100 calorie snacks offer a lot, VitaTops and VitaBrownies deliver in being satisfying (I think it’s the hearty chocolate flavors that do it for me!)
And isn’t this cool? You only need to walk 13 minutes before you’ve burned off your VitaTop or VitaBrownie! A general, normal muffin can take 70 minutes to burn off – yipes.
About VitaBrownies:
* 100 calories
* Just 2.5 grams of fat
* 6 grams of fiber
* Whole Wheat
* No artificial additives or preservatives
* Deep & Velvety Chocolate or Dark Chocolate Pomegranate
Check out all the varieties at Vitalicious. You can buy these at their website or at Costco and Target. Also they are on Amazon. Just make sure to get these in the freezer the day you get them.
Now, one of the ShesSmart.com readers will win a VitaTops sampler.
