Thinking about buying prescription sunglasses online? I highly recommend it. I was able to review a pair from Just Eyewear.
Update: Feb 2013 – I needed to come back and update this review. Thing is, I never wear these because even though I asked for the anti-glare feature, there is still way too much glare. I would never buy from this company.
As long as you have a recently updated eye exam handy, the process is fairly easy. You can save a lot of money by buying glasses online.
With prescription sunglasses, you can even go a little bigger than you might normally go. But if you are worried about the size, you can also visit a brick and mortar store to try on styles and then write down the sizes (listed on the inside of the arm) that you liked and fit your face. And the best part is, once you’ve done this process once, it’s always going to be easy to do. If I decide to buy another pair of prescription sunglasses in a couple years it’ll be easy. And the best part? It’s very inexpensive.
Most of the plastic sunglasses I liked were around $60.00, and that included the lenses price. Compare that to any brick and mortar store, where you’re paying hundreds for the same product.
The one issue I have is that glasses online, even when you add the extra anti-glare treatment, does not always seem to be as good as the anti-glare treatment you get from a store like LensCrafters. However, for sunglasses that you won’t be wearing all the time? It’s totally acceptable.
So, I picked out and ordered my glasses in under an hour, in my pajamas. And then they arrived. And how do I like them? I love them! They fit right, I can see great, and they’re stylish! Voila! Easy peasy.
