Aromatherapy Alternatives: Fresh Lavender Wreath

by on Thursday, April 28th, 2011

Aromatherapy uses essential oils. So one of the natural aromatherapy alternatives you may not have thought to reach for is a wreath. But many wreaths are made with great items with scents that have great healing properties. I only had this epiphany (if you’ll let me call it that) when my Lavender wreath arrived from Red Envelope. The site has lots of stylish gift ideas for the home. Including this fresh lavender wreath which has been preserved to smell great:

You guys KNOW that I love, love, love lavender. It has been cited in so many places as having properties to promote a sense of well-being, reduce migraines (proven, for me!) and produce a calm in you.

The Love and Lavender Wreath really retains its lovely lavender scent when you first get it. It’s been preserved to not wilt/fade. The fresh lavender in this wreath was found in the Californian coast. The site says it will last for years. It’s held up well so far.

The wreath is packaged very well, with accounting for bits that might fall away in travel.  There is a very pretty satin-looking bow attached. The wreath isn’t huge – just 15″ which is smaller than most wreaths. But it’s also very full-looking.I love this fresh lavender wreath, although didn’t realize it would look dark against my green walls. The smell does eventually fade away (unless you go up to smell your wall) but it remains looking pretty, at least.
