This product is the equivelant of Amanda Bynes. It’s a trainwreck.
The reason I like blogging reviews is because I never want anyone to have to buy something that is essentially crap. I was reminded of that this weekend when I used the “As Seen on TV” Ruggies.
Basically, they don’t really work. They don’t stick to the rug. And the suction onto the floor doesn’t work well at all.

They were sitting, inconspicuously, in a box at Marshall’s. I almost left them there, but back on my second loop (yes I make a couple loops!) I decided to slip them on. Upon finding that they did fit, I decided to buy them even though they weren’t listed as wide width (which, my big feet always need.)
IMPORTANT UPDATE: THESE CLOGS, ugh. They don’t offer support in a good way…so all the strain goes on the top of your foot when you walk…they gave me (according to my Dr.) tendonitis! IT HURTS. I’ve HAD THIS PAIN FOR THREE MONTHS. Seriously, if they effed up my feet permanently I’m going to cry.
Imagine my surprise, a couple weeks later, to realize how much I ADORE these freaking clogs! The brand is Keen. I’d never heard of them before. But I’m so glad that I have, now.
The clogs I got at Marshall’s were $40.00. Another surprise is to see that the retail price for the (I googled to see what it is) “Keen Dawson Clog” is $110.00. Leave it to Marshall’s to give me that kind of deal, right? (I adore Marshalls with ever fiber of my soul. It l ... Read More
The QiPillow has a funny name, but there’s nothing funny about how great it feels for your back.
Why I like the QiPillow (And you will, too)
Listen, most of you guys probably spend a lot of time sitting in a computer chair. And no matter what pillows you use, or the fancy chair type you bought, your lower back starts hurting. I know, because I’ve been there and still had that lower back pain. It’s a problem, because I do all my work there, but don’t want to screw up my back. Your back is meant to be in its’ natural “S” shape. So, how can you get that support and relax? Well, unlike any pillow I’ve tri ... Read More
Since I don’t golf, what am am I doing falling for a golf bag? I’ll explain how it won me over.
Item: Girls Golf Puffer Tote in Pink Price: $60.00 Colors: Black or Pink
I love the color pink. But, excuse me while I say this, don’t you think this bag is somehow TOO pink? The intensity of the color and the size of this bag really kind of makes me … feel a bit silly. And the only other option is black, which is …black and boring and blah. I wish that there were more options, with a mixture of black with pink stitching, or some sort of geometric pattern…some way to mix these colors. As it stands, I feel like I’m holding the thing and screaming “I’m a GIRLY GIRL” in people’s faces. And I don’t need to scream it. There’s nothing elegant about screaming! Still, I must say that the quality of the bag is really nice…it’s soft and “ploofy” (not a real word, I know) ... Read More
This superior line of skin care products was developed by the wife of a plastic surgeon that wanted to recommend friends items that would work.
Item reviewed: The Doctor’s Wife brand Menthe Blanche Microfoliator and Cleanser 4 fl oz | 120ml
What IS it? “Menthe Blanche clears surface dirt, debris, environmental contaminants, cosmetics, impurities, and aged cells, recycling your skin to a new surface daily.” (Fancy face wash!)
This brand was creatred by Joanne Laverson, wife of Dr. Steve Laverson. He’s a San Diego plastic surgeon, and with his wife they discussed that skincare products were not giving women the best results they could have.
They then set about creating this line, making sure each item is: cruelty free, has an effective formulas, uses 100% natural oils and is non comedogenic as well as hypoallergenic. Basically, these items are safe and good for your skin!
Pros: Smells truly and deliciously minty. Leaves your skin fresh and clean. It’s a microdermabrasion technique that also exfoliates.

Item reviewed: Vanitymmark Eyebrow Pencil
What IS it? Well, obviously it’s a brow pencil. Features a retractable point that never needs to be sharpened, pencil-to-powder formula, and the ability to create crisp definition while still diffusing the intensity as you choose. This line offers lots of hard-to-find shades and celebrity make-up artist Brett Freedman has recommendations for how to pick the one for you. I found them really helpful.
Come see why I’m recommending this pan!
Item reviewed: 10″ Ozeri Green Earth Textured Ceramic Nonstick Frying Pan, 100-Percent PTFE and PFOA Free, 2nd Round.
What IS it? Don’t be so huffy, I’ll tell you! It’s a nonstick pan that also managed to be created without PTFE (a nasty thing that releases toxic chemicals at upper temperatures) PFOA (a pollutant that’s bad for the environment) and all other harmful chemicals you don’t want near your food.
Pros: It cooks everything great and blah blah blah. The most important part, as far as I’m concerned, is that it’s incredibly easy to clean this pan. There’s no need for exerting yourself with a sponge, or soaking it overnight. (And, yes, you do get to use less oil. And it’s a healthy way to cook!)
Cons: If only there were more color choices than lime green! Actually, it does. Although the care of this pan is something you have to remember. A few brown spots will develop on the bottom, but this seems pretty normal. (Another blog review said they saw some after a few months of use.)
Care: (Worth reading once!)

Last week, I went with my Mother and her friend (both artists) to the Cleveland Museum of Art. We took time to visit the exhibition “The Last Days of Pompeii” and also have a restorative lunch at the new restaurant within the museum, Provenance. Inside this piece, I will detail our lunch experience. Try not to read on an empty stomach.
You don’t have to pay anything to get into the museum, plenty of the wings are free. And the scenery inside (and out) is always captivating. In the main atrium area, you can access escalators, the gift shop, tables, Provenance the fine restaurant, or Provenance cafe. (The latter is best for a quicker meal, and the selections there are wide.)
Inside the restaurant, everything has a sense of ... Read More
I’ve only just gotten back into Cleveland about a week ago, and I’m still trying to recover from that hot sun. However, because “The Last Days of Pompeii” are in its last days at The Cleveland Museum of Art, I rushed out to view the exhibition that put me in the center of this heated tale. For those wondering, you still have 7 days left to go, yourself. Do I recommend it? Read on and see.
