White Quilted Pillow Shams by Peacock Alley are Classic Must-Have’s

by on Sunday, April 24th, 2011

I have the perfect Spring makeup for your bedding. And let’s be honest, if you’re at all a decor nerd like me, you do love to change up your bedding for the seasons. Not everyone gets this, but some of us are very devoted to the way our rooms look and there’s nothing wrong with that. (Haters to the left!) So, this bedding idea comes to you from Peacock Alley. I know, just pause and savor that name for a second. One time I got to see a huge enclosure of peacocks and it was pretty magnificent. As you might expect, it’s all about presentation with Peacock Alley, and they know how to present what you want.

Peacock Alley Reviews: Oxford Collection Scalloped Quilted Shams

In their new Spring 2011 line, I was drawn to the Oxford Collection of quilted white (or ivory) bedding. I had a chance to see the Scalloped Quilted Shams up close, and they’re just so wonderfully touchable. I think the Oxford line is very pristine-meets-shabby-chic, because it’s all whites but it’s got a relaxed feeling about it. The Oxford Shams are offered in two variety’s (a tailored version), but I say go for the scallops! It’s a romantic twist on this classic bedding.

This pause from busy and colorful patterns holds it own as a classic beauty whether surrounded by the rest of the collection or not.

The genius of these basic shams (which feel luxurious) are that they can mix-n-match with so many other pieces. The Oxford Collection also has tailored or scalloped coverlets and bedskirts (tailored only), as well as shams in a variety of sizes.

I love that these are 100% cotton and therefore machine washable – yes!

Oxford is complete on its own or as a companion to any of our classic basics, this woven diamond matelasse brings a chic touch in any room. Whether scalloped edges or simple straight hems are preferred, both renditions of this time-honored classic are sure to please. Available in all sizes of coverlets and shams in white or ivory. Constructed of 100% cotton, imported from Portugal.

I took notice of these shams when I was viewing the Marcella Duvet – and these stood out to me in the picture. Take a look for yourself. This bedding gets an A + from me.  Do you see how this simple element makes the entire bedding area look more pulled together and stylish? It provides the right amount of texture, and it’s a breath of fresh air if you have patterns on your other bedding.
