Carrie Bradshaw as a NJ hooker?! Say it ain’t so!
Well, it’s no surprise by now that SATC 2 hasn’t had such a welcome reception. Honesty, I’ve enjoyed reading some of the scathing reviews! And, I hadn’t even realized this, but Sarah Jessica Parker has also just launched a new perfume. I understand why it’s beneficial to do both at once, but the name of the perfume is based on New York City, and I’m told that SATC 2 is mostly in AbuDabiIcan’tSpellIt.
The official perfume name is: SJP NYC. It kind of rhymes if you say it fast enough. SJP NYC! SJP NYC! Anyway, at first glance I was horrified by the leopard print bottle that reminded me of old women living down in Boca Raton with too much liquid eyeliner on. But at second glance, the bottles are okay. There’s enough floral print for it to seem…pretty – or prettyish, at least. I’m not sure that the best SJP should hope for is “prettyish” though. Do you remember SJP Lovely? SJP Covet? Now THOSE were gorgeous perfume bottles, and incidentally, gorgeous-smelling perfumes.
General reviews of the perfume say that it smells great, kind of like Strawberries (uh, does NYC smell like strawberries?). Notes in the SJP NYC perfume include mandarin, white osmanthus, strawberry, gardenia, honeysuckle, mimosa, rose, sandalwood, vanilla absolute, rum flavor and creamy musks. I believe the scent is being sold as more of a “Carrie Bradshaw” fragrance, than a Sarah Jessica Parker personal scent, even though it bears her initials.
So I gotta ask, when did Carrie Bradshaw become a New Jersey hooker?
So here are some hot pink and leopard-print inspired items that AREN’T ugly! (What a change of pace!)

I would so buy that whole line just because of the packaging. I think it is unique, wonder how it smells though.

Well, I heard the dominant scent is strawberries, which is nice- but you can get a strawberry scented body spray for much less money with another brand.
