Designer Erica Davies has some great stuff that’s perfect for a casual-luxe summer. And if you know me, I happen to feel my ideal style is casual-luxe. It’s the kind of way where you look polished, but you’re ultra comfortable and don’t look overly prissy or fussy.Celebrate life everyday! Everyday is a holiday.
Today we’re celebrating designer Erica Davies, who will be featured next Monday on QVC. She is already beloved by actresses like Kayla Ewell (The Vampire Diaries), Elisabeth Rohm (Heroes, Law & Order, Angel) and Kristy Swanson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie). We’re also celebrating the particular style aesthetic embraced by Davies. She defines the inspiration for her look as, “a perfect blend of the stylish 1930s coupled with the sophistication and ease of island life.” (Suddenly I want to wear the sort of clothing that Kate Beckinsale wore in Pearl Harbor.) You can look stylish without wearing pearls, yanno?
In fact, simple can be better. Davies says, “I think we are going to be seeing a lot of clean energy from clean lines and embarking on the classics with a slight twist. Less is more!”
Erica Davies style must haves for every woman include:
“Sexy, classic neutral heels, classic white shirts, boyfriend blazers, classic little black dresses, and silk tanks in layering pieces. But never be afraid to venture from the comfort zone with tribal and animal prints, large floral motifs and different proportions in the most unexpected ways.”
Call me crazy, but I feel like a simple animal print can almost work like a neutral these days. Now, about the details for the QVC spot next TUESDAY (edit: I had it marked as Monday, please change your Google calendar’s, ladies!)…
A vibrant collection that mixes exotic prints from around the world with bold vintage architecture is what captivates the look of Erica Davies’ new clothing line to air on QVC June 8th at 7pm EST.

Plan to wear a maxi dress this summer – they’re still hip and they’re so comfortable even if you wear it over a swimsuit. Here are three more from Erica Davies:
