Joan Campbell on Covert Affairs wears lots of great dresses. These are usually solid colored, with modest necklines (boatneck and square are both popular for her) and a belt. The dresses usually are mid-calf length, and sleeveless. In the Covert Affairs episode “Communication Breakdown” Joan wears the dress she wears in her character promos.

And of course, you can’t forget the shoes. Covert Affairs shoes are always popular because we know they always wear nice shoes! Joan seems to favor black heels with closed toes (rounded), and slingback action. The heels are never too high. While Annie wears Louboutin‘s, Joan doesn’t seem to. Is this realistic? Probably not. Joan makes much more than Annie! And while you might want to argue that Joan doesn’t care about fashion as much as Annie, I think it’s clear that she does like to dress nice!

Joan wears sheath dresses, which are dresses with tight fits that accentuate the waist and other curves, don’t often have busy patterns, and are made of light-weight material. It doesn’t ever billow out at the hem, or taper in too tightly the way a pencil skirt would.

When she’s at work, Joan is in power mode and her style reelects this. She wears structured dresses! And rather than go for trends, she wears classic elements.

The accessories to look for are bold, statement necklaces, large cuffs, and quality belts.
