Katherine Heigl was out on the red carpet for an event looking like she was inspired by none other than the American Girl Kirstin. I remember when I thought these were cool, and Samantha was my favorite. I did a book report on one of the Kirstin books called “Kirstin Saves the Day” wherein “Kirsten discovers a bee tree packed with honeycomb. She tries to bring the honey home but has to compete with a family of bears for her treasure, too!” I remember drawing her, and she wore a pale blue and white striped sundress in this book.

What’s even more alarming is that apparently they have discontinued the Kirstin Larson line from American Girl. WHAT! She was awesome! Protip? Don’t dress like an AG doll. It doesn’t work.
