Lifetime has a new movie premiering this April called At Risk. This is the first time a movie has been made out of the super-popular, highly-reviewed, best-selling crime novels by Patricia Cornwall. At Risk was a number one New York Times bestseller, so it’s likely that at least a couple of your friends have read it. The cast for At Risk includes Golden-Globe nominated Andie MacDowell (Groundhog Day, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Riding the Bus with my Sister – which was mentioned by Lorelai and Rory in Gilmore Girls so I wanted to mention it here, heh!), Daniel Sunjata (Carrie’s Sailor Crush in Sex and the City, Anne Hathaway’s designer crush in The Devil Wears Prada, Rescue Me), Diahann Carroll (Dynasty),  Annabeth Gish (Shag, Mystic Pizza, The X-Files), and Ashley Williams (How I Met Your Mother, Law & Order SVU, Psych and Good Morning, Miami which was a cute, but canceled show that I enjoyed) .

At Risk introduces audiences to the high-powered and glamorous District Attorney Monique Lamont (MacDowell), who seeks to further her political aspirations by solving a decades-old murder. Not convinced of the purity of his boss’ motives, Monique’s colleague, Win Garano (Sunjata), grudgingly takes on the assignment. But, the deeper he delves into this cold case, the more twisted it becomes and more apparent that there is much more at stake. At Risk was a number one New York Times best-seller and is now a best-seller in the U.K.

At Risk premieres Sat. April 10th at 9PM ET/PT. At Risk is part of a two week movie premiere; the second part, The Front, will premiere on Sat. April 17th at 9PM ET/PT.
