Kitt-In Box Review: Keeps Your Cat Off the Keyboard

If you have a cat who loves to hang out on your computer desk (and computer keyboard) then the Kitt-In Box is perfect for you. It’s kind of like a cat bed for your desk.

We received the Kitt-In Box from The Refined Feline to test out for Shopcat. Ever since I’d started having a food bowl (just dry food) at my desk for her, she’s been more interested in exploring the desk area. And much to my surprise, she’d started climbing on the desk and going in front of the monitor – things she hadn’t done in the three years I’ve had her. I’ve ALWAYS wanted her to hang out with my on my desk, which is why I thought this was the perfect solution. But, true to a cat’s nature, Shopcat is being difficult about this.
She’ll go in the Kitt-In Box if I feed her while she’s there (in my hand, or food on the cushion) but then she hops down to her cat bed on the floor. Sigh!

Amusing Picture: Shopcat is Taking Over Shopdog’s Bed!

This is clearly not her small cat bed!
Remember how I got two Kakadu pet beds? One for Shopcat, and one for Shopdog? Well. As much as I see Shopcat in her own, smaller bed, I also see her quite frequently in the larger one for Shopdog! It’s hysterical, but also makes me feel bad when Shopdog walks over and it’s clear she can’t use her bed. (The cat has claimed the domain! She is the boss, despite being much smaller!)

Kakadu Pet Review: Oasis Pet Bed for Large Dogs OR Small Cats

I’m very lucky not to be a Mother of twins, because I’d inevitably want to pull the full Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen matching gimmick on them far longer than they’d be okay with. But that’s why pets are so genius! Dogs are colorful, and cats just don’t care!
And I know sometimes being matchy-matchy is weird, but would you buy a pastel floral couch and then an electric plaid couch for opposite of it? Nu uh. And I’m very into design and everything looking nice. In this case, it means if I can get matching pet beds, I will! Considering the amount of places the animals flop, I need to have places for them all over.

One of the few problems with being the owner of a cat (because let’s face it, they’re easier than dogs) is that a lot of the toys or furniture are ugly. Seriously, ugly! And who wants that? This picture is EXHIBIT A of why you cannot dress up cats in outfits. They do not like it the way a dog will sometimes put up with the same shenanigans. The picture to the left is of my friends cat, who was less than amused at being dressed up for a celebration.
In my experience with shopcat, buying anything that you know goes against the nature of a cat (like a leash/harness) will always be met with frustration and a waste of money.

Shopcat got an amazing present yesterday – and it came in a big box (which she also loves – what cat isn’t wild about boxes?)! It was a handmade, custom pet bed from Smucci. Smucci is a business that began simply out of the love of pets and being creative. Debi D. Kahn creates these handmade beds, getting inspiration from the nature around her (the above picture shows the lake that’s outside of her home).
