The Best Tasting Lean Cuisine Meals – Your Guide

best lean cuisine meals

Need a BFF’s educated pov on what Lean Cuisine meals taste great and are worth purchasing? Look inside my guide. I’m 100% honest here.

I think Lean Cuisine makes really tasty, healthy meals. And since I don’t like to cook very often, frozen meals are a great option for me. And I’m picky, so I like to eat things that look pretty and taste delicious at the same time. (And on top of that, I don’t want to spend too much!) After one of my friends asked which Lean Cuisine Meals I liked the most, I decided I should make a list of what I think the best tasting Lean Cuisine meals are!

For all of these, I’ve eaten these at least two or three times. (For some, many more times than that.)

You’ll notice that I prefer chicken dishes over any other kind of meat, and I mostly like meals from the culinary collection that Lean Cuisine offers.

Skinny Pop Popcorn Review: YES, You will Love This!

skinny pop popcorn review

I am so positive about my glowingly positive review of Skinny Pop that you don’t even need to read other Skinny Pop reviews. That’s how much I can assure you that this is the best food stuffs purchase I’ve made in a while.

Eat it. Love it. Realize it is healthy and has almost no calories! Aaah.

It’s made with popcorn, salt, and sunflower oil. Somehow, this adds up to low calories but HIGH taste. It reminds me so much of movie popcorn (which I haven’t had in FOREVER because you know I’m not gonna waste calories on that – though movie popcorn is so delicious.)

And now you know why I love Skinny Pop. It’s so damn good it seems too good to be true. Or like an urban legend. But it does exist. Which is the best part. It’s real!

I’m actually a harsh food critic. I just said to my friend, Alix, “A granola bar without chocolate is insulting.” I mean, I know they’re supposed to be healthy but ugh, they have to taste good or I’m ignoring them.

It’s all natural. It’s cholesterol free popcorn. It’s gluten free popcorn. There’s no dairy, no nuts, none of that. It’s the perfect storm of taste!

THIS many positive reviews on Amazon can’t lie. You can ... Read More

Best Sugar Free Desserts: Chocolate Box of Lurve

best sugar free desserts

It may be with a groan that you decide to limit your sugar intake, and I’m right there with you. Luckily there are really healthy and beautiful some role models (with rockin’ bodies of course – think: Yvonne Strahovski) and enough qualified doctor-y people on TV reminding me how bad sugar is that I’ve been making a slow decline in (real) sugar consumption. So, I decided that I would try sugar free chocolate. And that’s when I came to the Illinois Nut and Fantasia Chocolate Company. Surprisingly, they make all sorts of sugar free candy (taffy, truffles, gummi’s), including sugar free chocolate. Since I often hate cooking, pre-packaged stuff is right up my alley as the best sugar free desserts around.

Side Note – Celebrities Who Don’t Eat Sugar:
  • Selma Blair (nor gluten)
  • Gwyneth Paltrow
  • Kelly Osbourne
  • Yvonne Strahovski (though she had a birthday at the Sugar Factory)
  • Jessica Biel (while working)
  • Jewel
  • Leaving sugar behind is sad, so opt for high ... Read More

I’m Shopping for Curtains like Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Pottery Barn…but for Less.

    curtains like pottery barn

Yesterday I stood in a Home Depot and found two things I wanted to buy. First off, orchids! They sell orchids in cute pots. The reason I didn’t walk away with an orchid is because it would be a waste of $10.00 for me, as I don’t have enough indoor light to keep it alive. And even though I don’t get a ton of direct sun, I really want new window treatments. And that’s why the other section of Home Depot that had me pause was this little curtain part. They were affordable but … they were by Martha Stewart. And I kept thinking about how I don’t really like Martha Stewart and if I bought her curtains these would be the same curtains a million yuppie couples have hanging in their houses. And, I’m not  THAT boring.

As I walked away, debating this one curtain, I kept thinking bout how I’d always know the vibe of the curtains were Martha Stewart, and I’d feel hopelessly lame for it. Because what I want is something … kind of hip. I’m still young! What I want is curtains like an Anthropologie. They can even be from Anthropologie – but only if they’re on sale. I’m also interested in World Market, Pottery Barn, West Elm (although that’s a bit too modern) and Pier 1. Or anywhere if they look nice, really. But, I suck at making decisions. So I’ve come to you guys for help.

We’re looking for curtains like urban outfitters – curtains like pottery barn – curtains like anthropologie.

    creative dresser ideas 1

To create a truly creative dresser try implementing a version of this design to one of your own pieces.

Shown is the “Nine Drawer Chest” by RSH Catalog. Constructed of dark mahogany, you’d never guess it. “Awash in blue and cream, the artwork is a rendition of an ornate Louis XVI dresser. Ball feet complete the look.”

I think this is kind of a shabby chic look without being too dated as a Martha Stewart kind of deal. It almost looks like it was limed, in fact. I love that it’s transformed into a really playful, sweet piece of furniture by having the Louis XVI dresser painted on the bulky dresser. I have no clue why (and this will sound a bit weird), but it reminds me of the feelings (of magic and beauty!) that I get when I think of The Nutcracker.

You can find the page with this piece of furniture here. However, the price is well over $1,000. So how could you practically achieve a similar look?

    Creative Dresser Ideas

    1. Take an old dresser and paint the entire thing in a pale wash of blue. You can experiment with paint techniques to give it an aged look, like the sponge off or rag off way. Then use stencils of something sweet like birds in ... Read More

Real Single Girl Problems and Solutions for your Single Girl Survival Kit

    single girl problems

The plight of the single girl never ends. Sure, some of the “artists formerly known as single” get married. But for every Carrie Bradshaw that does get married, there’s a new woman coming into her 20’s that realizes being a single girl can sure cause problems.

How can you clean without actually getting your hands dirty, how do you deal with a nosey cashier and how do you get your pets to, essentially, love you more? I’m about to discuss this all with you.

How do I unclog my shower drain without a fuss?

Single Girl Problems: My shower drain clogs up once a month because my hair is so long and thick and apparently falling out all the time!

Single Girl Solutions: If you don’t have your Dad around to guilt into cleaning it out, try the Drain Claw ( I do not suggest you watch too many Youtube Videos on how it works, because clogged up hair is gross. This is just the most effective and least gros ... Read More

    dresser runner

If you’re using Pinterest(my friend Erin from Australia introduced me to the site just the other day) then you should check out RSH Catalog for home decor images that will make you feel inspired.

One item that I hope you like is the “Moroccan Runner” because I bought it! “Spice up your table with an exotic mix of textures and patterns in rich colors. Florals and golds are entwined on crushed velvet for a captivating look and feel. Hand made. 75% Viscose/25% Nylon. Professionally clean. Imported. 72″l x 14″w.” I actually bought this from a different store, but the price was the same. I planned to put it over my vanity but haven’t yet. Those damn beads on the end make Smart Kitty want to play and bite at it all the time. I might use it as my bedroom dresser runner instead, although the one I have right now is something my Mom used when she was my age so I’m a bit attached. (It’s white with embroidered flowers and some crochet work.)

DIY Christmas Gift Ideas for Men, Boyfriends, Moms, Etc

    diy christmas gift ideas

If you want a sentimental and personal Christmas gift idea, let me share with you something inspired by Marilyn Monroe. While shes’ not my favorite actress of that time period (Audrey Hepburn stole my heart, tyvm) I was watching the CBS news when they talked about how they were auctioning off some of Marilyn Monroe’s personal items and clothing.

    DIY Christmas Gift Ideas

One idea, done about a bazillion ways!

One item really struck me as something that you can recreate. The item was the CECIL BEATON TRIPTYCH. It’s a picture frame that folds out with three sections. The middle is a photograph from 1956, taken by photographer Cecil Beaton. It was Marilyn’s favorite photo of herself. And then in the two other slots are the two pages of a letter he wrote to Marilyn.

The selling price for this Marilyn Monroe item (which she owned and cherished) is $145,500. But you can put this time kind of priceless gift together for a friend or family member for under $20!

Think about it. All you need is a picture frame (up the ante by having it engraved, if you want), a photo (you can turn it black and white if you want. It can be a photo of them at a younger age. It can be taken by you or even a self photograph), and a letter that you write to your subject, that someon ... Read More

TGI Fridays Skillet Meals are Disgusting and Overpriced to Boot!

    fridays skillet meals

I get furious when I spend money on something and it ends up failing me completely. Fridays Skillet Meals = super disappointing. And my expectations weren’t even that high!

I’m a lazy cook, so I am in the frozen food aisle a lot. Nothing is better to me than being able to just heat up my food and pretend I have a personal chef. And there are some pretty good things you can buy in this aisle, I especially love the Lean Cuisine Thai Meals and the P.F. Changs Orange Chicken Skillet Meal.

I do not recommend Fridays Frozen Skillet Meals or any of their Frozen Foods.

I’ve never had much luck with TGI Fridays Frozen Foods before. They never come out right, but you see that familiar red package and logo and you just go “Okay, one more time!” But every time, the food came out tasting bad. And the less recognizable brands were tastier. (I’ve had the TGI Fridays Frozen Chicken Quesadilla Rolls, Mozzarella Sticks, Cheddar and Bacon Potato Skins…and probably others. I have had frozen mozzarella sticks and frozen potato skins from other brands and ... Read More
