Are you a True Blood fan? Good. What do you think of Jessica Hamby? I love this True Blood season 3 promo picture of her, so we decided to draw inspiration from it for a little True Blood style of our own.
The one thing we didn’t tackle is Deborah Ann Woll’s hair in the picture – to achieve this hair you’ll want to use a shine spray and a hair straightener.
Jessica Hamby Profile: Jessica has a young, fun spirit. Can you relate? You probably CAN’T relate to the fact that she’s a newly turned vampire. Her best traits include that she’s adventurous and curious to try things. Her worst traits would include when she’s whiny, overly impulse or being a baby.... Read More
I really love the makeup look that Sookie Stackhouse has in the True Blood season 2 promo picture. So, how can you get it? I suggest using a mineral makeup to give your face a flawless and luminescent look. You can use high-up brands for mineral foundation like Bare Minerals, or L’Oreal even makes a pretty decent mineral foundation. She’s not wearing too much blush, but I’d pop a little pinky-peachy blush on the apples of your cheeks – just not too much.
The most intriguing parts are her lips – which have this plummy look to them. It’s matte, not super shiny. But do whatever works for you.I suggested two different MAC lipsticks because they will truly give your look that stained look. As for her eyes – oh man. Her eyes are insane! Obviously, wear a little Mascara especially if you are a blonde. But…any Mascara will work. What I see is that she’s got grey eyes. So I selected a cream color base to give your eyelids a soft and pretty wash to work on. Then line your eyes with a grey liner, you can go softer or more metallic in tone here. And you can keep it very precise or smudge it a bit. I prefer to use precise eyeliners and then use a matching-color eyeshadow to go over it. It makes the eyeliner stay on longer, and it looks softer without having to smudge it with a smudge stick. As for the eyeshadow, I really like the Mac eyeshadow in Print.
Her nails and toenails have a peachy/nude/slightly pearly look to them. Don’t forget ... Read More

Stylist recently had an interview with Lea Michele (Glee) and she gave some excellent beauty tips!
Naturally, as a spokesperson for Dove Hair, Michele mentioned that she loves Dove haircare. If you recall, Jessica gave a Dove Daily Moisture Therapy Review and also vouched that it’s amazing.
When it comes to products she loves Michele told Stylist, “I can’t leave home without my Laura Mercier concealer and I have this incredible Chanel lip balm that moisturizes my lips.” She mentioned she also uses tinted moisturizers because all you need is “good skin and a nice fresh face and then you look good.” She also mentioned she loves Kate Somerville products, Clarisonic products (specifically the Clarisonic Face Brush) and AMOREPACIFIC products.
Admitting that she loves the bohemian style that Nicole Richie has, Michele said, ” I want to wear a long dress every day. That’s all I want to do. I want to wear a long, flowy summer dress all day long with flats.” Maxi dresses are still in! I bet Michele loves House of Harlow stuff.

Spring and Summer let you show off your toes – so why not let your toes be worth seeing with some pretty polish?
I have two very different ends of the color spectrum for you to consider – and both are worthy of your toes (or little piggies)!Emmy Rossum Style Guide:
Spending your summer in NYC? Emmy Rossum played the part of a Grecian Ballerina at The Natural History Museum Dance event. Of course, with her gracefully long limbs and porcelain skin tone, it’s hard to imagine her as anything but. To pop against her skin, she used a berry red color on for a pedicure. They match her black shoes in a very classic way. They also lend a bit of drama – oooh! Try: POPbeauty Nail Glam in Strawberry $14Hayden Panettiere Style Guide:

Have you seen that new Lea Michele Dove commercial? She twirls in the cutest of all possible girly dresses while singing “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music. It makes me want to twirl and swirl and sing and maybe eat a pink cupcake and find a posse of men in snazzy tuxedos to dance around me.
Lea recently tweeted about her favorite new Dove product: @msleamichele: My new fav product is @Dove Hair’s Intensive Repair shampoo/conditioner – helps w/ all the damage my hair takes!
Amanda Seyfried, she-of-the-hypnotizing-eyes, is on the cover of InStyle Hair right now. And you have to admit, it’s hard not to want some nice Amanda Seyfried hair of your very own (we know you’d treat it right!).

The high bun hairstyle has emerged as a top spring summer hair trend for 2010. Celebrities like Billie Piper, Katie Cassidy, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Bosworth, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jessica Alba have all sported the high top bun at events this year – and there are no plans of stopping!
Every high bun style affords you the luxury of using different variables to pick a style that not only compliments your face, but that you feel you can confidently do to your hair. You can have a more contained top knot or a large bun with tons of volume. Another way to change things up is to decide at what angle your bun will hit against your head. A ‘high bun’ can be at the top of your head, near the back, or straight upwards to the sky. Adding styling details with clips and decorative braids all help your hair resemble a work of art. And if you spend more than 20 minutes on it, no one should dare say your hair is anything less. (Permission to glare at them: granted.)
Now, remember how I said that none of this information is helpful unless you find a way to use one of these buns on your ow hair? The longer and heavier your hair is, the less likely you’ll be able to do a small bun that kisses the very center-top of your head a la Kate Bosworth. That’ ... Read More
Your scalp is like the overlooked member of the family that never gets any attention. But I’m thinking about it today because I was looking at the slideshows on MedicineCabinet (which are so gross, omg – I should not have done that!). I came across one of the more harmless slideshows – which was about your hair and scalp.
One of the pages mentioned that massaging your scalp will really help your brain. “Your scalp is covered with nerve endings that make it super-sensitive to touch. Rubbing your scalp increases blood flow and releases tension. It also triggers your brain to release feel-good hormones like dopamine and serotonin.” Ding, ding, ding, I love anything that mentions ways to get my serotonin triggered! This won’t cure depression, but it can’t hurt. Unless you start massaging your scalp too hard, because that would hurt.Massage Your Scalp!
