I’m Obsessed: Dove Nutrium Moisture Body Wash Review

dove nutrium moisture review

Sound some trumpets if you’ve got them (but, why do you have trumpets? …we need to talk!) Dove has a new bodywash! It’s called the Dove Cream Oil Shea Butter Body Wash with NutriumMoisture. If you can’t remember the entire name just look for the NutriumMoisture label on the Dove body wash. Because, pssst, that’s the most important part! And now I’m here to contribute to the Dove Body Wash reviews you might see online. This is a Dove Nutrium Moisture Review, more specifically. And super specifically: I really loved it!

And it has not gone unnoticed (by me)  that you can mispronounce Nutriummoisture to make it sound like “nutriYUMmoisture” so that’s a little bit of trivia from you to me, may it give you much joy, etc etc. It’s yum for your skin!

What is NutriumMoisture? “The NutriumMoisture technology found in this body wash combines skin nourishing and skin moisturizing ingredients to help skin retain its natural moisture by replenishing lipids ... Read More

Repechage Reviews of the Hydra Dew Collection (Severe Dry Skin Treatments)

seaweed in beauty treatments

Seaweed in beauty treatments isn’t just an idea in movies with fantastic spas – it’s a reality. An affordable reality that actually gives great results! What we need as we age is severe dry skin treaments. And that’s just what you get with Repechage.

Pronounced: Re-pe-shaj (noun: to rescue; second chance)

I submit to the ways of the seaweed! You can say “I dew” about having more moisturized skin by using the Professional Skin Care Hydra Dew line from Repechage. They use seaweed from the coast of France in their products, and you can tell the difference in your face. They sent along the Hydra Dew Start/Travel Collection for me to test. Five Hydra Dew products are put in a waterproof travel bag (score!).  They Hydra Dew collection is for dry skin. Do I have that? Uuumm, yes. Not that I’m proud of that fact. But Winter doesn’t exactly make it any easier. (And I did buy a humidifier last year, but cleaning it monthly was such a pain that I didn’t put it out this winter.)

I was able to try all 5  of the Hydra Dew ... Read More

White Eyeliner Tricks (The Surprise Item To Use!)

white eyeliner tips

Bigger eyes, like you’re an anime character? You can have them! You just need to know white eyeliner tricks. You can use white eyeliner on the waterline and inner corners of your eyes to make your eyes appear brighter and wider. It’s not anything so drastic that if you haven’t slept in 24 hours you’ll look instantly refreshed, but it’s a nice makeup trick.

The main white eyeliner tricks and tips I’ve learned involved what KIND of white eyeliner you wear. So many are hard (becuase you buy a cheap white eyeliner, just hoping to try it out) and they won’t really give you the right effect. They’ll actually just annoy you and probably hurt your eye a little! Ouch.

So the pencil I’m advocating you try is actually an eyeshadow stick! I’m talking about the SANTE Eyeshadow Stick I wore this the other day and was surprised that the texture and consistency didn’t smudge or fade at all! (I wore it with a Sante Eyeliner and to my surprise the eyeliner also had VERY strong staying power on my top lid. And these are ALL NATURAL, organic makeup items, which is a major added bonus.)

Miss Oops Reviews: Pedicure in a Bottle, Rescue Sponge, Boob Tube

miss oops pedicure in a bottle reviews

Miss Oops is a company that makes products for all the tiny (but hardly overlooked by you) details in your life.  From mishap tape to a lint roller, these items are reasonably priced, and all in the vein of “hey, that’s helpful!” She’s Smart was given the chance to review three items and let you know what our honest thoughts are. I took the task, and here is what I felt:

Pedicure in a Bottle $18.00: I’m someone who is constantly attending to her feet, because I can’t stand when they feel rough at all. So, yes, I’ve tried tons of different products. But I’ve actually never tried one like this – which exfoliates and then is absorbed into your skin rather than rinsed off. This makes it so much easier to apply. The more I use this, the more I love it. I seriously need to RAVE. It works so well. I don’t know that I need to buy other lotions ever again. And I use this on my cuticles and it soothes those – and ooooh, I love smooth cuticles. You guys. This is a miracle product.

SANTE Organic Makeup Reviews

sante cosmetics usa

When I got a chance to sample some SANTE makeup products, I focused on the eyes and lips. Everything is 100% organic, hence the appeal! Because your skin basically eats some of what you put onto it, you definietly want to use organic makeup when you can!

There were a few SANTE products I really liked, and a couple I wasn’t as keen on. Read on for the full scoop.

Organic Eyeshadow Review of Trio: rose wood 03: Okay, it looks like normal eyeshadow but it’s not – it’s 100% organic eyeshadow. It’s created with plant oils and mineral pigments. It’s smooth because it has jojoba oil and chamomile. This organic eyeshadow palette has three basic rose/plummy colors. I like the eyeshadow properties, however I do wish there were some more beige/brown colors without so much pink/rosy-ness to it. The shadow wasn’t bad in any means, but I really only liked the lighest color. Otherwise I didn’t feel like the brown was very pigmented. Although, if you want organic only, this is good. Otherwise, Clinique is similar. Buy

Lashem Reviews: Side Effects to Growing Eyelashes Longer

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

latisse alternative

This eyelash growing products review is not a super favorable one – sorry, guys. Brooke Shields was the first celebrity to promote Latisse eye gel to grow eyelashes longer. But it was only after I saw that Claire Danes had hoped on board to also promote the product that I thought “hey, maybe this actually IS something with this whole trend of growing your lashes.” But our experience with growing eyelashes has not been a positive one. BOTTOM LINE: The product worked only marginally on the lashes, not the brows, it itched and it is likely the face of a painful facial infection. I would never purchase Lashem, especially as the press rep for Lashem was incredibly rude to us when she saw we could not honestly give her a 100% positive review. We strive to be honest to our readers, and will not bend the truth to make a company happier.

Our lashes are NOT chia pets, and I didn’t want them to look ridiculous or discolor my eyes. So I am not on board with these lash growing products at all. But my Mom is a little more willing because she has sparse eyelashes, and it’s something that I know she’s self-conscious about. It’s not even noticeable to other people, but she knows that her ... Yves Rocher Reviews and Ratings by She’s Smart

long lasting lipstick reviews

In working with Yves Rocher USA for makeup reviews, I selected three items to test. We’ll start off with one of my long lasting lipstick reviews!

1. Long Wear Lipstick in Pistil Rose: My appeal to this is that I like a bit of lip color, and ideally I’d like it to LAST for a while because otherwise it feels pointless. That’s why I picked this of all the great-looking lippy products. This long lasting lipstick boasts a long staying time of 4 hours without drying your lips. And I’d agree, this really isn’t a drying product. Apparently it uses natural benefits of Limnanthes oil. With just one swipe, the Pistil Rose isn’t very highly pigmented. So you do have to build up the color, maybe even with the darker shades. Four swipes gave me a VERY nice rose tone to my lips. It was very glidey and I really agree with this statement: “A semi-mat velvety, luminous finish.”  The only thing I’d say is that the color I got looks a little more pink-orange on the site than it does in reality (it’s less orangey). I love this a lot. I would buy this on my own for sure. Price: $17.00.

Babyliss Pro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron Review

babyliss pro tourmaline ceramic curling iron review

The Babyliss Pro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron gives you the bang (or wave/curl) for your buck!

Even short hair can look amazing when curled.

Flat Iron Experts sent me the Babyliss Pro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron to review.  It’s one of their favorite curling irons! They say, “The Babyliss Pro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron is rated #2 on our Best Curling Irons list for one reason alone and it is the price. If price wasn’t a factor, this curling iron will for sure be the #1 choice.”

What does it mean for it to be “tourmaline” and “ceramic”? Well, it’s important so that negative ions to eliminate static electricity and distribute the heat evenly so there’s no h ... Read More
