If you’re a fan of CHUCK then you know Yvonne Strahovski as Sarah Walker, super spy! In a recent episode (The CAT Squad) I loved her hair so much I wanted to share some screencaps with you guys. To achieve this particular Yvonne Strahovski hair I’d say you should use a straightening cream (to make everything smooth) in your hair, then use a small straightening iron to straighten hair and then curl ends under. The pictures will help you see how her hair is. The front should be turned towards your face, not under.
If you want to ask for a Yvonne Strahovski haircut you should ask your stylist for long layer with the front part angled towards your face. I think you also want some sort of razor cut at the ends towards the front. Your best bet is to print out some of these pictures and take them in to the hair salon with you. I heard stylists actually like when you bring in a picture for them to reference! (I used to think they’d be annoyed.)

You paint your face to make it appear a certain way. You don’t use actual paint, but you use shadows and all sorts of things. Tricks, even. And although I was taught to always apply blush on my cheeks and then a swipe down my nose, that’s very wrong. To shape your face and contour your face with makeup, you don’t swipe color on your nose at all.
The basics for knowing how to contour your face is about light/dark. It’s like in art class when they’d talk about the foreground and background, and how you’d make items look diminished by being smaller/darker. Well, apply that to your face!
Senna Cosmetics has outlined 6 steps to use in creating a “triangle of light” which is an “inverted triangle inverted triangle in the center of the face where light is focused on eyes, nose, lips and cheekbones.” They mention their products, but you can also use similar ones you already own.
Can I tell you guys I’ve tried this and SERIOUSLY noticed a difference? YUP. I used all my own products that I already owned.

While there are plenty of BASIC tutorials on how to do your nails, I’m going to walk you through a realistic process based on how I really do things. And to help me out, LECHAT Nail care sent me some items, which I shall mention along the way.
LECHAT Nail Care knows nails and doesn’t stop until they’ve presented you with about a million different options for how to get fabulous nails that you absolutely love. I got a chance to review some of their polishes (from three different collections), some cuticle oils, and some other nail-must haves that make applying polish a breeze. (I know longer have to fear mistakes!)
What would Rachel Berry wear? Well, it’s fun to think about that, isn’t it?
Here’s my idea of what she’d wear for St. Patrick’s Day. I gave her a really cute denim purse, and used purple as a color to accent the green. I mean, how do you pass up purple kitten heels? Especially if you plan to wear them with sheer white polka-dotted socks!
Good for You Girls Reviews everywhere agree, this is a great brand.
This line of natural skincare products is targeted for tweens and teens, but can be used by anyone of any age. The bottle has pink text on it, but it’s nothing so juvenile you’d be embarrassed to be caught having on your bathroom counter.
I received the Good For You Girls moisturizer to review, after letting the company know that I only like light moisturizers that don’t clog my pores. They said they had just what I’d want. And, since I’m wearing this right now, I am going to have to agree with them. My skin isn’t always as easy to break out as it was when I was a teen and the hormones are raging, but a heavy moisturizer seriously always will cause a pimple or two on my face. And I hate that. Why can’t I have skin that isn’t dry, without causing a break out? This is a great organic moisturizer for acne prone skin. Read on to learn why!
What does this moisturizer have? First, what it doesn’t have are strong fruit based acids that many products use for exfoliation. Well, in dry weather this is the worst thing to have and it irritates my skin. Ther ... Read More
I have an obsession with mineral makeup, and I recently got to try a bunch of mineral makeup versatile powders (for eyeshadow, blushes, lip, etc) from Monave Minerals. I don’t know how you could not be WILD about mineral makeup. They’re so fun, and Monave thinks they’re great for anyone who is who are so creative and wants to be artistic. I’m on board with that mission statement.
monave mineral makeup reviews (Versatile Powders) Each is $7.50 Versatile Powder – Khaki: This green color is more of an olive with gold tone to it. It’s great for brown or hazel eyes. I really love this, it’s a perfect neutral that isn’t a taupe.
Versatile Powder – Light Gold: Perfect for highlighting. It’s great and shimmery.
Versatile Powder – Pink Pearl: A shiny pale pink. I can use this as blush, too.
Versatile Powder – Gold Salmon: A pale peachy golden pink. On sale for $5.00. I can also use this as blush.
Versatile Powder – Antique Brick: A dusty rose. When wet, it’s almost coppery. I like it. Dry, it can be a blush.
I like these mineral ... Read More
What Would Quinn Fabray wear? Well, here’s an idea…
This spring-inspired look focuses on on Quinn doesn’t like to show a lot of skin, and always looks polished, likes dresses, florals, and flats. Purple looks great with yellow, so take this look from “standard” to fun with some shimmery organic purple polish. I could see Quinn wearing this to church on Easter Sunday. Glee fashion with Quinn is always girly and pulled-together.
Senna Cosmetics was founded by the passionate Eugenia Weston, an Emmy nominated celebrity makeup artist. After I heard that the Senna eyeshadows rival MAC eyeshadows, I was intrigued in the line. But I discovered there was much more to love.
I was sent along some products to review, so let’s get to it! I say in my title up there that the makeup gets an A+ in professionalism, and let me explain that reaaal quick! These are products that I think the very best pros and A-list stars use, and there was nothing I used that I thought “meh, I’ll just give this away to someone else.” I loved it all, and it was all just so freaking great that I should start going on that show Hoarders, for being a makeup hoarder. I want every color of everything! No lie.
SENNA COSMETICS REVIEW AND SENNA COSMETICS TIPS:
Senna Cream Lipstick – Tiffany: “A soft glowing pink” this was ULTRA smooth to apply on my lips. I like that it gives a pop of neutral pink, but is otherwise a bit neutral so I can we ... Read More
Let’s go through five different Hanna Marin Hairstyles, it’ll be fun. Admit that you love her hair, okay?!
To achieve Hanna Marin hair in the picture above, straighten your entire head of hair first! Part your hair in the middle, and strategically pull some of your shorter layers (if you have them) of hair forward. Notice she didn’t pull the ones that are most obvious. They are layers closed to her ears. Anyway, then grab all of your hair behind you like you’re making a low ponytail (if it helps, make one and use a hair band to hold it) and then twist it upwards. The securing part is the hardest bit. You just need the right item. I’ve found that H&M sells great hair claws that don’t look like they’re from the 90’s. They’re short and kind of wide, so they’ll hold a lot of hair, and you can cover them. Then you want to mess up/arrange the remaining hair that’s flipped up. You can use a hair pomade (Aveda makes a great one) to ensure every piece stays where you put it.
Hanna Marin Hair Style Tip:
Make that low ponytail as high as possible and let the rest of the hair fall backwards. Then using a small straightening iron make sure the pieces of hair all kind of curl under towards the back of the head.... Read More
We have a giveaway treat for Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries fans!
Do you love The Vampire Diaries? Okay, good. Do you love Elena Gilbert’s hair? Even better. And how do you feel about organic hair care? Well, you’ll learn it’s just as good if not better than what you’ve been using. And for fans of Katherine’s Vampire Diaries hair – since actress Nina Dobrev plays both characters (ergo, same hair consistency), keep reading!
Additionally, I’m going to call up one other TV show heroine. Do you love Pretty Little Liars? Yea? (Me too!) And do you love Aria Montgomery’s hair?
What you’ll notice both Elena and Aria have in common (aside from brunette hair color) is that they have long hair that’s thick. And so do I, so I really love Simply Organic moisture rich shampoo and conditioner because it makes my hair silky without weighing it down. If you have heavy ha ... Read More
