Strut, strut, strut! Fall & Winter 2011 Boots
Tuesday, October 19th, 2010
The website Ssense.com has some great designer selections for winter 2011 boots. They also have lots of designer fashion on sale if you are persistent enough in your searching.
I focused on Winter 2011 boots and found three pairs of boots I would wear in an instant. The first ones, would look great with some black tights and a floral dress and cardigan over that. In case you think I’ve thrown ALL practicality out the window, the last pair are flat boots that are chic, despite having zero heel at all.

Guy and Eva Jewelry Review and Giveaway (Taylor Swift Jewelry!)
Saturday, October 16th, 2010
I didn’t know about Guy and Eva until a couple weeks ago, and they are a company very worth knowing about! This is the part where I arch an eyebrow and ask if YOU know about them. Nudge, nudge.
This jewelry line started off being sold in stores and boutiques, but so many people wanted to be involved, that now Guy and Eva is sold by hostesses who benefit from sharing great jewelry with friends, family and even strangers. People can be advisor’s or a Hostess. When you do this, you’re making money and getting free jewelry. Not bad, eh? (You can buy the jewelry online too. Just press “1″ if you don’t have an advisor.)
Celebrities Wear and Love Guy and EvaSee, Guy and Eva is actually pretty big. LOTS of celebrities have this company on their radar, which is surprising to me because the jewelry isn’t all that expensive at all.
Celebrities who wear Guy and Eva include: Eliza Dushku,Taylor Swift, Paris Hilton, Victoria Justice, Ashley Greene, Aisha Tyler (and magazines like Lucky and InStyle have both featured Guy and Eva jewelry.) Plus, even Gossip ... Read More
Giveaway & Sanuk Reviews: Junebug, Donna, I’m Game
Thursday, October 14th, 2010
If you want comfortable shoes (and Lord, who doesn’t?) then I have a really wonderful shoe brand suggestion for you. Only, they don’t market themselves as shoes. (They’re shoes, don’t get me wrong, you wear the on your feet and all that.) But even the IDEA of shoes makes you think of something tight, uncomfortable, and annoying to put on. So, meet SANUK:”These are not shoes, they’re sandals.” You get what a shoe needs to be, with the comfort a sandal has. Do the math and it adds up to: YES.
Fun fact: Sanuk is the Thai word for FUN.
How to say Sanuk: Saah-nook
You can get Sanuk’s for Men, Women or Kids. They make flip flops and sidewalk surfers, and even a couple boot styles.
I was sent some Sanuk’s to try out. What did I discover? Uh, that I loved them. And then everyone else was trying them on and discovering that they loved them, too. Suddenly, I might be left Sanuk-less if I don’t hide them!
The soles are soft and conformed to my feet as I walked (like a top model, for sure.) Slip-on shoes are pretty much ideal for a slacker like me, and so I love them. I recommend the sidewalk surfers to be worn in spring, summer and fall. The ... Read More
Some of the Best Everyday Sneakers for Wide Feet (Brooks Brand Review)
Tuesday, October 12th, 2010
As a casual sort o’ gal, I love to wear sneakers - A LOT. When it came time to get a new pair, I was looking at the Brooks Brand of Shoes. While I hadn’t worn any before, I figure that it can only do me good to branch out into knowing and wearing more sneaker brands. Just because I know other brands more doesn’t mean they’re more suited to me. I reached out to Brooks Brand, and they were kind enough to send me out a pair of sneakers to try out.
But first, I told them exactly what I was looking for. And what DO I look for? Comfort, for one thing. And the shoes need to be durable, since, as I said, I wear sneakers a lot. And call me shallow, but I care what things LOOK like. I don’t want to wear ugly shoes, you know?
I was sent the Brooks Glycerin 8. Immediatley after slipping these puppies on I could feel a comfortable difference in these sneakers over other’s I’ve worn. Also, these are super cute-tastic. They’re sporty, but not without an artistic design element to them.

Cadet Hats for Women by ISIS
Saturday, October 9th, 2010
It’s getting time to think about scarves, gloves and hats! Well, now I’ve got the hat part covered thanks to Isis, a shopping site that specializes in women’s wear for active women.
* Our one and only goal in everything we do is to develop attractive performance clothing that fits women’s bodies and their lives.
* ISIS is made up of 95% women and we want the same thing you do in clothing – something that fits, looks good, gives us confidence, and enables us to enjoy the great outdoors. The clothing we design is inspired by nature and our favorite activities – combining both fashion and function.
* We understand that fit is more than just a number on a size chart. We know real women have real bodies: hard here and soft there, long in the torso and short in the legs and any combination you can imagine. That why we design clothes to fit the bodies and lives of real women.

Life Unexpected Style: Lux at School
Thursday, October 7th, 2010
It was hard to find the right dress for this Life Unexpected Lux Style Feature. I picked a dress from Mod Cloth, since I figure Lux would realistically shop there. Aside from what I linked below, you might like this blue ruffled dress. I ended up picking three Modcloth dresses.
To complete this look, have some tousled, messy hair and wear a long pendant necklace and some knee-high boots.

Artful and Personalized Silver Jewelry: Joseph Allen Designs
Sunday, October 3rd, 2010
Joseph Allen Designs makes wonderful personalized silver jewelry The hand-stamped silver jewelry you can get is either made with a hammered or satin finish. There are SEVERAL designs you can pick from, and each necklace can be hand-stamped (better than just an engraving, that isn’t as deep) AND lets you add a pearl or a Swarvorski crystal or birthstone (in any corresponding color.)
I received a piece customized for me. I went with a hammered look because I think that looks more arty. I picked a somewhat simple oval design (it took me a while to decide which shape I liked best) which I can wear long, and then even layer with another tiny/shorter silver necklace.
For the hand-stamping, I wanted a phrase that would be personal to me. That means, I wasn’t looking for just a simple word. I was even looking into some Latin and French phrases. But I settled on a phrase from a poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson. It’s, “drink the wild air.”
Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air ... Read More
