The one real problem with flat irons is that they get so hot, and you have no where to put them. ZiziBizy has proposed a solution via their Hot Pocketz item.
Zizibizy, a women-owned company, is dedicated to creating products that help make every day problems into extraordinary solutions with little extra attention to detail.
It’s a pouch can slide your flat iron into, without waiting for it to cool off to put it anywhere. If you just put it on your bathroom sink, you might lean over and get burned. This way, you unplug your iron and then have it stored in a safe case to cool down and be stored. The inside of the case has is heat resistant fabric for up to 400 degrees F, and that’s the hottest setting most flat irons go to.
The Hot Pocketz has a space for your iron, and a space for the cord. It’s a great flat iron storage piece. This is also a great straightening iron case to use when you’re traveling, because you don’ ... Read More
Curie Kilpatrick Boyd of Nicholas Lane Jewelry is a warm and supportive friend to She’s Smart. We love her for her collection of handcrafted jewelry that is unfussy and tapped into the natural world (especially the ocean.) Recently featured in Elle Magazine, we can’t help but declare, ” Pft, we knew her first!”
One of the best sellers in her shop are the Abalone Disc Earrings. These handmade shell earrings are paired with gold filled rings with tiny dot impressions. The entire earring is about 1 1/2 inches long including the ear wire. The disc is 1/2 inch in diameter.
I call these the Jewel of the Sea earrings, because the abalone shell flashes with such beautiful and powerful iridescent colors that change with the light. These are perfect to wear at any time and any season because they’re exotic in a subdued way. The colors have a real depth and shine to them. Smooth to the touch, I know that these will be visible and draw attention even if I wear my dark brunette hair down.... Read More
There are fans of The Vampire Diaries all over the world! Including TVD fans who like the fashion! We got a very sweet e-mail from Norway that said:
I really like your blog, and it seems you know all about the fashion behind the vampire diaries. In the last episode “Rose” Caroline had a brown bag at school. I have seen that she has worn it in another ep. Do you know where I can get one of those?
from Hilde in Norway:)
Ah, well Caroline Forbes went a little boho in the “Rose” episode. We don’t know the exact bag (and you’re not the only one who’s asked – it’s a popular bag!), but we can come close by giving suggestions and ideas as to why this bag might appeal to you. Caroline’s purse is an earthy brown leather. The style of it is a crossbody bag, and what’s unique is that it has a foldover flap with an extra set of double handles. We all know how organized Caroline likes to be, so this is an ideal bag for her. Especially if she’s ... Read More
It’s always a good time for Gossip Girl fashion. In Gossip Girl “The Witches of Bushwick” Serena van der Woodsen wore a Carolina Herrera Fall RTW 2010 Blue Tiered Glitter Dress. Umph, that’s a mouthfull! She also wore a Carlos Falchi Pearlized Python Mini Clutch, Swarovski Hyacinth Blue Ring and a Swarovski Glamour Blue Bracelet.
So how do you get this Gossip Girl fashion for less? You must incorporate what you like about this outfit!
How to dress like Serena Van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl season 4:

I’ve just seen the pictures of five different adorable animals who all belong to the family that owns and operates Namaste Inc. The company makes animal friendly faux leather purses, animal friendly wallets, and even more very smart, stylish accessories. This company exudes warmth. And every aspect of their company is stylish, even down to the fonts used on their website. I’m very, very impressed. They have real vision, and this is a company to respect.
Receiving items from Namaste INC. put a smile on my face. Here’s what I got and what I thought of it:
Urban Hip Holster: It’s boasted as being durable (check mark!) and made of PVC free materials (check mark!) It comes with two attachable/detachable straps. I like the shoulder strap, but I can’t see myself using the hip strap because ... Read More
It’s hard to find gifts for guys/men/boyfriends/dad’s – MALES! But it helps when they have a sense of humor. My Dad does, so I know he’s going to love the two pairs of socks I got from Ozone Socks. They are funky, but not at all girly. And trust me, guys like playing dress up as much as gals do. They just don’t want to admit it.
File these Ozone Socks under: gift ideas for boyfriend, cute boyfriend gifts ideas, gift ideas for dad, christmas gift ideas for men 2010…basically, I’m really backing up the idea of these as gifts for the men in your life. They’re graphic, and funny. Who doesn’t want to pretend they’re in the old West? Trust me, lots of guys DO. My Dad loves to watch Gunsmoke on Netflix – it’s annoying, and true. (And apparently, according to my Mom, a never-ending process.)

I received the Mona Linen (sky blue) and Scandinavian Stripes (green) socks. I picked these two specifically because the Mona Linen one is so pretty, delicate and feminine and the Scandinavian Stripes are so vibrant and fun (plus, that’s my heritage!) I get tired of wearing boring white and black socks. It’s so blah blah blah. It makes dressing my feet boring, even if they have a cute pedicure color. Socks may be just a small accessory, but they can have a surprisingly big impact on your mood. It’s almost like a little secret you have, if people can’t see your socks during the workday.
The character Booth (David Boreanaz) on Bones is an FBI agent who h ... Read More
It’s was only at the height of a long walk with Shopdog that I realized how useful an item from Bondi Band could be. The truth is: people sweat. I sweat! Gasp! The horror! Well, if you want an accessory to help you kind of manage your sweat, the Bondi Band brand can help by giving you exercise headbands, exercise hats, etc. The thing that makes a headband a GREAT exercise headband is the wicking ability to absorb moisture. So that’s what you need. And – wicking headbands for women can be stylish – surprise! So if what you need is functionality and style, this is a great option.
They have items for women, men, kids and dogs. For women, there are all sorts of items from headbands to hats specifically to be worn with ponytails. The MAGIC here is the material they use, which are made of wicking fabric – meaning they absorb and evaporate sweat. They’re comfortable, and they hold your hair back.
I am in true awe of the online jewelry boutique The Pretty Peacock. They create eco-friendly silver jewellery, including custom necklaces for women. Their fine silver necklaces are especially great.
I’ve seen a lot of different birthstone jewelry created in different ways, and far too often it comes across as tacky. But if you are interested in creative and classy pieces, this site has a really beautiful take on birthstone jewelry. This is, in part, because they pay attention to details. For instance, the Family Birthstone Necklace has crystals that are all channel set thus giving them a refined aesthetic. There’s nothing cheesy here!
Not only is the site beautiful, home to a million different wonderful jewelry pieces, but an experience shopping with The Pretty Peacock is one that you can’t beat.
Having had the luxury of working with the site, my experience was so genuinely positive that I ... Read More
Amanda Seyfried loves Sanuk sandals – that much is clear. She’s been spotted out and about walking her dog, Finn, wearing a pair.
I mentioned this earlier, but I bet you didn’t think I’d come back with a wacky graphic to show you guys that I had proof!
(Psst. No, THAT’S not the wacky graphic!)
I spotted these pictures during one of my lazy “look at pictures of celebrities” times of the day (which is far more often then I’ll admit *whistles*) and have confirmed with the press people for Sanuk, that these are, indeed, Sanuk’s! And “Sanuk” is really as fun to say as it is to type. Don’t believe me? Try it! Sanuk, sanuk, sanuk!
