Tiny Toons Spring into Fashion

My twitter friend Ilana, who obsesses over TV as much as I do, was talking about Tiny Toons recently. SURELY you must remember Tiny Toons as an after-school staple, do you not? Well, I guess it depends on your age…blah, blah. Well, she posted a link to a video that got me inspired to think the very rational question, how would you dress Babs the bunny today, in actual clothing? It’s more sensible than you think – it’s almost Spring (well, let me believe it is!) so the colors of yellow and purple are spot-on for the season.
As always, every item I pick will be below the $100.00 mark, but I also have an untested theory that if you dress similar to a cartoon or object of lust of a boy, they may actually subconsciously start liking you for the similarities you present in your appearance. Of course, anyone who wears a slutty red dress like Jessica Rabbit really just has their cleavage to thank, not her. (And now I have an idea for yet another post! Chickaboom!)
The formula is (oh yes there IS a formula!): A purple bottom and yellow top, or a base dress in either color, with accents of the other. Something purple in the hair works well, but you can also opt for purple earrings. Babs never wore much makeup, but if she had – she would have focused on clear lip gloss, lots of black mascara on the top lashes, and peachy/pink blush. Am I a total freak for being able to pick up on that? Nah. I’m just keen! Her personality strikes me as walking the line between sport/flirty. If you want to be really hardcore about this, you could get purple contacts. A pair of bunny ears, and you’ve got a cool twist on a Halloween costume with elements you could actually wear again. Minus the ears. Except in the bedroom. I mean, wha?
