Simply Organic Hair Care Reviews for some Happy, Moisture Rich Hair

by on Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

At ShesSmart.com we love to take part in, and share, organic hair care reviews. Organic EVERYTHING is a must right now (and for the future.) I had the pleasure of being able to review the Simply Organic Moisture Wash & Rinse duo (Shampoo & Conditioner) which is perfect for dry hair in the winter.

simply organic reviews

best organic shampoo reviewsThe Simply Organic Moisture Rich Shampoo is a gentle cleanser of your hair which has olive leaf extract, organic honey and nature’s essential oils so that it is helping to strengthen and hydrate your hair.

It does not weight your hair down, and as someone with heavy, thick hair, I really love products that are lightweight like this. Simply Organic shampoo reviews agree, this is nice stuff!

The only thing I didn’t love was the smell, which seemed a little like “hot lemon” aka this Flu tea stuff I once had to drink. But the smell doesn’t linger, and the conditioner smells much better.

It’s the dead of Winter right now, and often I’ll feel my hair get static-y because of a lack of moisture in the air and in my hair. Something I noticed after my first use with the Simply Organic Shampoo and Moisture Rich Conditioner is that my hair felt silky and there was no static. organic conditioner reviewsThe Simply Organic Moisture Rich Conditioner is, as you might have guessed, a moisturizing conditioner! My friend has very long hair that she colors, and she was telling me how she might just chop it all off because her hair feels so brittle. If that’s the case for you, you really should look into this conditioner. It gives a weightless shine and hydrates your hair. My hair really did feel light when I used it. This has got to be a contender for the best organic conditioner for dry hair.

I really love the pump bottle for this. My pro beauty tip for you guys is before you put on any conditioner, first squeeze out the excess moisture in your hair becuase otherwise you’re putting your product on water-soaked hair that is going to drip away without working on your hair. Your hair will still be wet, just not dripping. Then I work the conditioner into my hair, but starting at the tips and only on the hair from the nape of my neck – down. If you condition everywhere, my experience (with my hair) is that all of my hair can become too oily or limp. Sometimes I’ll work conditioner into hair that drops down at the side/front of my face, but otherwise I save product and am able to wash my hair every other day without having oily hair.

Other great points about the Simply Organic Conditioner:

– KIDS! It’s very quick to detangle your hair (like, INSTANT, boom!) – so this would be a great kids conditioner since they often have hair that gets knotted up in the most bizarre ways. Who would have thought that to find great kids products you should also look for organic conditioner reviews, huh?

– MEN! The bottles are pretty, and because of their honey brown colors with a subtle green and aggressive typeface on the label – you could easily get a guy to use this brand. (Guys that I know are notorious for not being willing to use any girly-looking bottles or fancy-sounding names.)

simply organic reviewsTheir Simply Organic lip balm gives moisture to dry lips. Ingredients include Sunflower Oil, Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Vanilla and Aloe Vera. Sounds almost good enough to eat, huh? I think this is a very nice balm! It glides on great and you’ll appreciate the staying power. I love that it’s organic and all natural.

Simply Organic also offers other types of organic shampoos (everyday, volume, refresh) and organic conditioners as well as organic styling products (shine spray, anti-frizz creme, rejuvenating sealer, organic hair spray), soaps, and candles.

I love organic hair products. I’ve been trying to get my husband to use them since he has really dry skin which can lead to an itchy scalp. He is so afraid of the girly bottles, but I could lie and say this was made for me and he would never know.

I think this would work nicely for me. I had a salon treatment with an olive oil product and I thought it would be nasty but I liked it.

I’d love to try the Shampoo and Conditioner. My hair is thin and feels brittle when in the winter, and I get lots of static. This sounds like a shampoo and conditioner that would hydrate my hair and leave it static-free. Thanks for the review!

I had seen this but did not get the chance to review it myself. I was looking forward to finding out how it worked. I am always looking for good products for my girls hair and this does sound very nice. I also love the pump bottle, that makes it so much easier!

i love organic products, but finding a good shampoo and conditioner that both work for my very thick and long spanish hair AND are good on the wallet can be a little tricky, i love this review because it addresses those people that like me, have thick hair, and not just any type of hair… i have also tried the lip balm that you mention above and while it wasn’t my all time favorite organic lip balm it did the job quite well and it managed to keep my lips moisturized during this cold winter times.

I haven’t considered organic hair care products before but this one looks really nice. It’s beautifully packaged as well! Thanks for raising awareness about what’s out there, so we can look past what we usually reach for on the grocery store shelves.

I have very long, thick hair and finding a conditioner that works for my hair and doesn’t have any ingredients that worry me can be a trick. I think I may have found my solution in Made from Earth’s Peppermint Conditioner. It leaves my hair soft and easily combable without a greasy coating. It has a pleasant scent that is only barely noticeable once my hair has dried. Made from Earth’s Conditioner has a very smooth feel to it and is easy to apply. I like to get it on my hair (heavy on the ends, light at the roots) then put my hair up in a bun and keep the conditioner in for ten to fifteen minutes and then rinse it out with the coldest water I can stand. Doing that leaves my hair incredibly silky, smooth and shiny. I appreciate that Made from Earth’s is a company dedicated to helping preserve the environment and not exposing their customers to potentially harmful ingredients.
