Hilary Swank Promotes Gray Nail Polish

Hilary Swank is swanky with Oprah. Photo from Oprah.com.
Hilary Swank was recently on The Oprah Winfrey Show and she wore the cutest outfit. It was a black blouse, black and white polka dot skirt, yellow belt, and for a final touch – gray nail polish. During the interview, Oprah noticed them. Hilary said she’d done them like that for Halloween, and she also got Oprah to admit that she didn’t so much love the color. Ha! Luckily these two have a report where it didn’t seem like Oprah was insulting Swank.
I think it depends on your skin tone for whether a gray nail polish will compliment you. No matter if you’re looking for a metallic nail polish, matte nail polish or sparkly nail polish – there’s a gray polish out there for you. The China Glaze polish color I’m listing is the one closest to the one Swank was wearing – it has an almost violet tint to it in the right light. If you’re not feeling gray, try silver nail polish. And if you hate it all? Be a rebel and go gold.
Gray Nail Polish: China Glaze Nail Polish in Recycle @ Amazon $4.49

If you absolutely don’t want gray or silver on your fingertips, it always works nicely on your eyelids.

I saw the same episode and went out the next day to Ulta to find a flat gray (no shimmer). Ulta was sold out of gray in OPI and China Glaze! I got the last Orly “Mirror Mirror”, which is similar to China Glaze Recycle from what I can tell.
