Two of the BEST Makeup Brushes for Mineral Makeup

Now that I’ve gotten into mineral makeup, I realized that my collection of normal makeup brushes might not be right for me anymore. But…what brushes do you use with mineral makeup? Well, one brand that women online buzz about is EcoTools, so I was interested in them. Especially because this is a line offered at places like Target and Drugstore.com (read between the lines: affordable!) They offer good quality brushes (that’s my experience) at inexpensive prices. I’m totally down for that!

I was sent the EcoTools BAMBOO Angled Eyeliner Brush and EcoTools BAMBOO Deluxe Concealer Brush to review. Both are earth-friendly makeup brushes made from sustainable bamboo (for the handles), 100% cruelty-free, soft taklon bristles, recycled aluminum ferrule and they all come with a sturdy storage pouch that you can reuse over and over again.

EcoTools Angled Eyeliner Brush Review: The soft brushes are nice, and let you get a close line along your lash lines. With mineral eyeshadows you only have to wet them a bit to let them apply like a liquid eyeliner. That’s why an eyeliner brush is so cool to have once you go all mineral like I have. It used to be that my eyeliners would dry out and fade away off my eyes, but mineral eyeliner stays put! That’s why I really wanted this brush. It works great, and I love it. (Tip from the website that’s helped me: “For precise lining, keep the brush’s longer bristles toward the inside corner of the eye.”) It lets me draw a sleek line, and easily do a winged eye. And I love doing a subtle winged eye because it makes my eyes appear larger than they are. Buy it on Amazon. $6.95

EcoTools  Concealer Brush review: I’d say that having a good mineral concealer brush is more important than any other kind of mineral makeup brush. Mineral makeup doesn’t have special concealer makeup, they just have you use a different brush. The brush is great to work in smaller, defined areas like a single pimple, or under your eyes. The difference when I used this concealer brush is HUGE. Mineral makeup is so much better at covering under eye circles than any liquid concealer I’ve ever tried (and honey, I’ve tried ’em all!) I use the concealer brush in the areas under my eyes, my eyelids (to get a nice neutral base to then apply eyeshadow) and also under my nose where the broken capillaries cause some redness. The full brush bristles are dense enough to get the right amount of product every time! Buy it on Amazon. $3.19

I like that this is an earth friendly makeup brush line, and that it’s very economical. These are some of the best makeup brushes for mineral makeup.
