Join the Dove Hair Twitter Party for GLEE Prizes and Hair Wisdom!

dove gleeVery soon, I’m going to be posting my review of the new Dove Daily Treatment Dove Conditioners, as well as a giveaway of them for a ShesSmart.com reader to win. But because I am having the most hectic “terrible-very-bad-no-good” day ever, I may not get those posts up today. (Everything that can go wrong IS. This includes losing something down the shower drain and hardly having access to my e-mail because my computer is only very sporadically registering google & the all important gmail!)

The good news is that my hair has legitmately been extra silky and shiny since I started using the Daily Treatment Dove Conditioner’s (I alternated and used both the Daily Moisture and Intensive Repair) last week. What’s new to these conditioners is the Micro Moisture serum and Fiber Actives. I couldn’t define those for you offhand (although I’d look cute in a lab coat, tch), but I CAN proudly announce that my long, heavy hair suddenly feels so much lighter that I’m reconsidering the drastic haircut I was going to get.

Instead of chopping off several inches of my lovely hair, I think I’ll just use the Dove conditioner and keep all of my length. I don’t plan to go Cher-length or anything, but I love long hair that goes past the shoulders. I just wasn’t sure if it was practical for me anymore. One of my favorite TV hosts is Ming Tsai on Simply Ming, and he’s always referring to his favorite spice of the day as “our hero”. In a similar vein, I’d call these new Dove conditioners my hair hero.

In the meantime… Listen up, all you fans of singing and good hair!

The site 5 Minutes for Mom is hosting a Dove Hair Twitter Party this Wednesday, May 5th at 7pm ET!  During the Twitter Party, we’ll be talking about things that damage our hair but are too important to give up!  Participants will also have the chance to win a pair of tickets to the sold-out Glee Tour!  Also, party attendees will have a chance to tweet questions that could be answered by Lea Michele herself later this week! You can read more details about the Twitter Party here.

Don’t forget to follow @5minutesformom, @Dove, and @Rocket_XL and remember to use the hashtag #dovegleeforall!

I’ll be talking about the latest episode of Glee that airs this week (“Bad Reputation”) over on the fantabulous TV Blog SmallScreenScoop.com, and then, of course,  it is possible we’ll do some posts here about achieving a specific look from the episode. Stay tuned! And keep on singing. It makes your heart happy.

Disclaimer: The (future) Dove giveaway is sponsored by Dove and Rocket XL. I was sent the conditioners to test, but received no other form of compensation. My opinions are my own, and you can trust that I am being honest because lying about haircare is something I could never do to my fellow ladies.
