The Babyliss Pro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron gives you the bang (or wave/curl) for your buck!

Even short hair can look amazing when curled.

Flat Iron Experts sent me the Babyliss Pro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron to review.  It’s one of their favorite curling irons! They say, “The Babyliss Pro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron is rated #2 on our Best Curling Irons list for one reason alone and it is the price. If price wasn’t a factor, this curling iron will for sure be the #1 choice.”

babyliss pro tourmaline ceramic curling iron reviewWhat does it mean for it to be “tourmaline” and “ceramic”? Well, it’s important so that negative ions to eliminate static electricity and distribute the heat evenly so there’s no hot spot. It also dries the hair from the inside out, meaning less damage to your hair. I’m very on board for that – I don’t want to hurt my hair.

This Babyliss Curling Iron has a long swivel cord, and I can’t live without swivel cords on my hair styling tools! I mean, I CAN, but I don’t enjoy it. I also loved that the Babyliss Pro had a pop in/pop out temperature control feature so it won’t accidentally slide to the wrong temperature. There are 40 heat settings, which go up to 428 degrees F. Finally, I have to mention the cooling tip as a nice feature, as well as the slim, soft handle of the iron which was very comfortable.

The Babyliss Pro actually leaves hair looking shiny without extra shine products.

It heats up fast! If you aren’t used to using a curling iron regularly, you will need some time to get used to techniques. But there are some written and included, plus you can find tutorials on youtube and even on the Flat Iron Experts pages.

Items over $75 qualify for free shipping to the US and Canada. They also have a 30 day 100% satisfaction guarantee. The flat iron experts price is regularly $119.99 but right now it’s on sale for $84.99. Shop: Flat Iron Experts. Babyliss pro reviews everywhere online agree: it’s a great curling iron. Investing in something that you’ll  use a lot over the course of a year makes a highly priced item make sense. It’s all about cost per use (cpu.)

When you use a high quality curling iron and good hairspray, you’ll have curls that will last longer throughout the day/night.

Hair Curling Tutorial Pointers:

Hold for 8 seconds, don’t be afraid of any noise that sounds like a sizzle. The Babyliss Pro won’t damage your hair because of the tourmaline ceramic surface.

Only attempt to do this on totally dry hair.

Have clips handy to section off your hair. Even if you don’t have layers, try two bottom sections and two top sections.

Focus on the top part of your hair to look the best since it’s what most will see.

Pull after you unravel your curls to make them smaller and tighter.

Alternate the direction you use the curling iron to create natural-looking waves.

Pointer finger on clamp =  curl away from  your head. (Use this for the pieces of hair that frame your face.)

Pointer finger on thumb = curl towards your head.
