I actually got to review these. My review of them summarized is that: they work, but are not as all powerful as you’d wish they’d be. I think you need to do two sessions to achieve the whiteness that you’d ideally get in one. However, for this price it’s pretty easy to imagine doing two strip sessions in two days. It’s normally $44.80 for a box, and for this Amazon Black Friday deal it’s $11.03. That’s pretty damn good, even if you pay for shipping. If I didn’t still have some strips left, I’d buy these now.

While shes’ not my favorite actress of that time period (Audrey Hepburn stole my heart, tyvm) I was watching the CBS news when they talked about how they were auctioning off some of Marilyn Monroe’s personal items and clothing.

One item really struck me as something that you can recreate. The item was the CECIL BEATON TRIPTYCH. It’s a picture frame that folds out with three sections. The middle is a photograph from 1956, taken by photographer Cecil Beaton. It was Marilyn’s favorite photo of herself. And then in the two other slots are the two pages of a letter he wrote to Marilyn.

Where’s Your Happy Place? Here’s One of Mine that Works

I will admit this…begrudgingly… I’m a Type A, perfectionist who has a world of trouble trying to relax. It just seems impossible. I’m very high strung, and it makes me pretty unpleasant unless I actively try to combat my anxious feelings about everything in life. So, when it comes to CALMING DOWN, I look to my role model – the fictional character of Ferris Bueller. He knew how to live life. It’s pretty impossible to pick a favorite scene from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, but I’ve always loved how shamelessly Ferris faked sick, then sat outside in the sun with a tropical drink and his phone.
When I faked sick in high school I’d play the part even if no one was home, just in case I got caught not looking miserable. But do you know what good worries do? Nothing. I mean, they keep you vigilant and if life were like The Walking Dead, I’s probably want to stay pretty “on guard” like this. But as life its, without the zombie apocalypse, it’s really time for me to relax. As the movie says, “Leisure Rules.” So be a Ferris. My happy place is visualizing myself in Ferris’ backyard, with his attitude on life. Everything will be okay!

Orange and pink are not the easier color combination to make work. So it’s a challenge! It’s a She’s Smart first (like a Project Runway first, which it seems like they have every episode, thus defeating the impact…)
(I’m going to wax poetic for a moment, don’t mind me!) Like a brilliant sunset, pink and orange are colors that can be vibrant or meld together like a watercolor of warmth. They’re daring colors on their own, and even though I’m not a daring person, I think it’s okay to use them both at once – on occasion.

Mindy Kaling mentioned how cute this one Ettika Bracelet is (pictured top left on collage), and it inspired me to re-examine stylish friendship bracelets. See, I don’t believe in anything tacky or over the top. Fashionable and subtle? That’s my bag. And Ettika makes tons of bracelts – friendship and not – that are perfect to pile on your wrists and share with friends. My thought on friendship bracelets is that if you and your friend have the same kind/one in different colors, it totally counts. The only problem you have there is if your friend doesn’t jive with your style. Of course, Ettika offers all sorts of styles. Some are more romantic while others are more boho.

P.F. Changs Frozen Meals have had me curious as I passed by the frozen food aisles in the grocery store, but I wasn’t sure if I should take the plunge. Sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn’t. (Remember how much I hated the TGI Fridays Frozen Skillet Meals? It was a huge waste of money.) But the @wegiveachuck twitter account encourages fans of NBC’s Chuck to support the commercial sponsors. And P.F. Changs has run a spot for their Frozen Meals during Chuck, before. So, I said, whatever, let’s DO this! AND IT WAS DELICIOUS.
I bought the P.F. Changs Orange Chicken Frozen Meal. It requires that you make rice on the side. But rice isn’t hard to make. And, I’m not sure if you’ll believe me, this Orange Chicken Meal was so good that it’s better than when I order my local Chinese food. The chicken was unbelievably tender, the vegetables were good, and the orange sauce was really sweet. I’m planning on buying this in the future for sure. I like to be a lazy cook, and frozen meals are easy for me.

For Halloween, Spencer Hastings donned a Mary Queen of Scots Costume. To dress like Spencer, look for Elizabethan Costumes. The only Mary Queen of Scots costume examples I see are pretty ugly or have to be custom made and are thusly tres expensive.
Now, about a Mary Queen of Scots Costume wig… This will be hard. I have to be honest! You’ll want to get a short red wig that has curly hair. And that could be a problem. Plus, to be Mary Queen of Scots, it really needs to be red and curly. And since that’s pretty impossible to find… I have a suggestion! Look for a red, curly wig that you like. Now, you could cut it, yes. Maybe Youtube has haircut tutorials… I don’t know. But what I’d suggest is using clips and bobby pins to clip the hair up to make it appear short. If it’s a very long wig, you can even try to do a hairstyle of the time period. Start by parting in the middle (if possible.)
