Elegant Jewelry from the Sea: Handmade Shell Earrings with Abalone
Curie Kilpatrick Boyd of Nicholas Lane Jewelry is a warm and supportive friend to She’s Smart. We love her for her collection of handcrafted jewelry that is unfussy and tapped into the natural world (especially the ocean.) Recently featured in Elle Magazine, we can’t help but declare, ” Pft, we knew her first!”
One of the best sellers in her shop are the Abalone Disc Earrings. These handmade shell earrings are paired with gold filled rings with tiny dot impressions. The entire earring is about 1 1/2 inches long including the ear wire. The disc is 1/2 inch in diameter.
I call these the Jewel of the Sea earrings, because the abalone shell flashes with such beautiful and powerful iridescent colors that change with the light. These are perfect to wear at any time and any season because they’re exotic in a subdued way. The colors have a real depth and shine to them. Smooth to the touch, I know that these will be visible and draw attention even if I wear my dark brunette hair down.

Large Abalone Disc Earrings
As always with Nicholas Lane Jewelry, there are very sturdy rubber backings for the earrings, and the promptly sent jewelry come packaged sweetly in a box that bears the shop logo. These things are important when you’re thinking about giving gifts as presentation counts! These are a thoughtful gift item, especially for those who have an affinity for the sea.

Thanks for the display of creative looking earrings. I think it is an art to create earrings. Wearing watches is necessary.
