Lucky Magazine recommends the above Wool Felt Hat from Macys, which costs $44. Well, I say NO to that. We can find a good fall that that is stylish and less expensive. I’ve worked hard to find you other hat suggestions, all under $40, but mostly under $20. Floppy hats are great, but cloche hats are something I think that will be even more popular. The pro to a floppy hat? You can kind of hide your face under them more – but are you a celebrity who needs to hide? I don’t know. The con to a floppy hat? They will lose their shape more easily. You have to treat it like a newborn puppy and give it a spot of its own to live – no flopping it in with a stack of winter scarves.

Adult Cloche Hat
This Cloche Hat is from KMart. Granted, it’s $33 – but this is a hat with much more going on, and you could wear this through the winter, while the other hat really seems like a fall hat and nothing else. This is two hats for the price of one. Cloche Hat

awwww, I want cute hats. But they never fit because I have an enormous head. I LOOOOOVE cloches.
Even for beanies to fit, I have to knit my own!

Knitting your own hat means you can make it JUST how you want it, at least. I would knit a beret type deal and then knit different colored flowers that can be attached (one at a time). I have a mauve beret-ish hat somewhere…I need to pull it out for winter…ahh!
