Wanted Frills Flat - Round-toe ballet flat

Wanted Frills Flat - Round-toe ballet flat

Okay, so ruffles are a major trend for Fall 09. I hadn’t realized it extended even to shoes, but apparently it does.  If I’ve learned anything from my sister, it’s that a serious shoe habit is hard to kick. So if you know that you’ll absolutely NEED to buy a new pair of shoes this fall, I think I’ve found the pair for you. These Ruffled Flats from PiperLime are versatile-but-special enough to fit all sorts of needs.

They’re not too ‘out there’ that you can’t wear them a lot, but you’ll definitely feel happy about them having a little bit of flair. ... Read More

Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad

Kohl’s is so excited about the new LC Lauren Conrad line that they are letting She’s Smart give a $25.00 gift certificate to their store! Since we focus on great deals under $100 (for the real women out there!) this is a perfect match. Earlier today I told you guys some of the stuff I liked from Lauren Conrad’s line.

Right now the LC Lauren Conrad line is just apparel, but later it might include items like bags (we know Lauren loves those), jewelry and shoes. And the price range for the items? All between $20 and $60! That’s what we love to hear (my bank account likes to hear that, too).

“Partnering with a successful national retailer like Kohl’s supports my mission to make great clothing ... Read More

Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad has left The Hills and now she’s pursuing her dream of fashion with her LC Lauren Conrad line at Kohl’s. Even when the show was annoying me, I always could find a compliment for Lauren’s style. Those little braids in her hair? Did you never try to replicate those? Come on, now!

Anyway, I decided I’d shop at Kohl’s online and tell you guys what I think is worth buying. It’ll let you see what’s available and what you might want to avoid. My overall review of this line is that it is modern and cute with lots of great basic’s made by a gal who knows simple fashion tricks that work.

The Secret Weapon You Will Love : Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream

cuticle cream

It might sound good enough to eat, but the Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream by Burt’s Bees is not edible. It does smell really incredible, though. Delicious, actually. Beware! Anyway,  if you’re anything like me, dealing with your cuticles is a  MEGA pain. And with Winter coming up that means all skin will be even dryer – I’m not a fan of that! Luckily, I gave in to an impulse buy (sometimes these are very disappointing!) and discovered this cuticle cream.

The great thing is that it’s not JUST cuticle cream. You can use this anywhere you need some extra moisture. It’s great for any dry patches on your skin, or the areas that tend to be driest on your skin like your elbows and ankles. This stuff absolutely WORKS. I slather it on before bed and when I wake up my cuticles feel perfectly smooth (bye hangnails!), as does any skin I applied it to.  I can almost feel my skin drink the cream up and sigh happily, ‘aaaaah’.

I’d all but given up on finding a product that would really work to moisturize my cuticles, and I’m very surprised it ended up bei ... Read More
